How really important is faith? Even to believe in Christ, you will need faith. It takes faith to walk in what God says it is right and true. If you want to see the Kingdom of Heaven, your relationship with Christ has to grow.
If you have realized, everything you do depends on how much faith you have in God. Whatever you spend your money on, the energy you use which yields an outcome will be determined by the faith you have in God.
Jesus Christ loved it when he talked to people who had faith. (Matthew 8:5-13; Matthew 15:21-28; Mark 5:21-24; Luke 19:1-10). Even he revealed that you do not need much faith. Just a little faith can move mountains. What this means is that, little faith can do amazing things in your life and that of those around you (Matthew 17:20; 1 Corinthians 13:2).
Jesus compared our faith to that of a mustard seed. A mustard seed is the smallest of all seeds. The worth of a seed is determined if it can continue to grow. If you want to see your faith grow, you must water it just like the mustard seed even though it is the smallest. You can see your faith grow by nourishing it through reading God’s word, worshiping God and praying to him. These are the things that feeds faith.(Mathew 17:20)
Confidence is faith according to Hebrews 4:16. Saying you believe is one thing and working it out day in and out is another.
Importance Of Faith
If you do not have faith, you cannot please God. Because even though you do not see God, you need to believe that he exists and rewards those who seek him.(Hebrews 11:6)
We depend on Jesus for faith, reliance and hope. John 14:6
Faith is a gift. You cannot earn it. All you need to do to get it is to ask. And when you ask, you must believe you have it and begin to walk in it.
Faith Requires Action
You can be full of faith and yet see nothing happen. It is not about you saying you believe only. You must actually act on it. If you want to see actions from faith, you must take risks. Some people are scared of talking about Jesus but yet they say they believe in him.
Having a strong faith in what Christ has done for you should be enough to compel you to share God with others. If you don’t share your faith in Christ, something isn’t right.
Don’t think about the risk so much as the great opportunity you have too be a bridge for others to experience God almighty. Don’t think so much about what could go wrong; instead ask God to fill you with faith to share.
Don’t be one that wishes they had stepped out more.
“It’s not the critic who counts; or the man who points how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena –who at best, knows in the end the triumph of great achievements, and who at the worst, if he fails at least while daring greatly. His place will never be with those cold, timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.”
